Traveling to the US

For information on the current legal requirements for travel to the US, please see the US State Department’s visa homepage. Generally, a B-1 business visit visa will be needed for those participating in ISAGA 2010 unless you are coming from Canada, Mexico, or Bermuda or a country participating in the Visa Waiver program.

Fees

*To resolve the technical issue causing registration problems, it became necessary to convert the fee structure from the Euro to the US Dollar. The conversion was done using the closing bank exchange rate of €1 = USD1.38 posted on finance.yahoo.com on March 12, 2010.  The conference fees were then fixed at the USD values listed below.

  • ISAGA members
    • ISAGA will be constituted under a new legal form in May. By choosing the member discount rate for the ISAGA 2010 conference at this time, you are indicating that you will join ISAGA as a REGULAR member when the conversion is complete. If you choose this option when you register for the conference, you will be contacted later by ISAGA on how to properly register as a member and on how to pay the annual ISAGA dues of €25.
    • This fee includes full participation in the conference activities, the conference guide, an electronic version of the conference papers, the conference proceedings, coffee & tea breaks, lunch on each conference day, the conference welcome buffet on Monday, the social program and the conference dinner on Thursday.

  • Affiliated regional organization members
    • This fee is offered as a courtesy to members of the following organizations  who are not also members of ISAGA: ABSEL, DiGRA, INDSAGA, JASAG, NASAGA, OzSAGA, SAGANET, SAGSAGA, SAGSET, SIGIS, SSAGSg, and ThaiSim.
    • This fee includes full participation in the conference activities, the conference guide, an electronic version of the conference papers, the conference proceedings, coffee & tea breaks, lunch on each conference day, the conference welcome buffet on Monday, the social program and the conference dinner on Thursday.
    • USD 621 (€450*) before or on 8 May 2010
    • USD 759 (€550*) after 8 May 2010
  • Non-members
    • This fee applies to those who are not members of the following organizations: ISAGA, ABSEL, DiGRA, INDSAGA, JASAG, NASAGA, OzSAGA, SAGANET, SAGSAGA, SAGSET, SIGIS, SSAGSg, and ThaiSim.
    • This fee includes full participation in the conference activities, the conference guide, an electronic version of the conference papers, the conference proceedings, coffee & tea breaks, lunch on each conference day, the conference welcome buffet on Monday, the social program and the conference dinner on Thursday.

  • Students
    • This fee applies to students currently enrolled in either a graduate or undergraduate program.  A letter of recommendation from a faculty member at the enrolling university must be provided to complete the registration process.  This fee is limited to the first 20 registrants of this type.
    • This fee includes full participation in the conference activities, the conference guide, an electronic version of the conference papers, the conference proceedings, coffee & tea breaks, lunch on each conference day, the conference welcome buffet on Monday, the social program and the conference dinner on Thursday.

  • “Third World” participants
    • This fee applies to participants from countries on the UNCTAD list of Least Developed Countries: Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo (Democratic Republic of the), Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Kiribati, Lao People’s Democratic Rep., Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Rwanda, Samoa, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Sudan, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda, United Rep. of Tanzania, Vanuatu, Yemen, and Zambia. This fee is limited to the first 20 registrants of this type.
    • This fee includes full participation in the conference activities, the conference guide, an electronic version of the conference papers, the conference proceedings, coffee & tea breaks, lunch on each conference day, the conference welcome buffet on Monday, the social program and the conference dinner on Thursday.

  • Accompanying Persons
    • This fee applies to persons who are accompanying a participant who registered using one of the fees above.
    • This conference fee includes full participation in the conference activities, coffee & tea breaks, lunch on each conference day, the conference welcome buffet on Monday, the social program and the conference dinner on Thursday.  It does not include the conference guide, an electronic version of the conference papers, or the conference proceedings.

  • Accompanying Persons — Thursday Banquet Only
    • This fee applies to persons who are accompanying a participant who registered using one of the fees above and are only attending the conference dinner on Thursday.
    • This conference fee does not include full participation in the conference activities, the conference guide, an electronic version of the conference papers, the conference proceedings, coffee & tea breaks, lunch on each conference day, the conference welcome buffet on Monday, or the social program on Thursday.
    • USD 75
  • Local Educator (one day)
    • This fee applies to educators at any level residing in the Inland Northwest region (Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or British Columbia) who are not presenting papers at this conference.
    • This conference fee includes participation in the conference sessions for one day only, the conference guide, an electronic version of the conference papers, coffee & tea breaks, and lunch. It does not include the conference welcome buffet on Monday, the social program and the conference dinner on Thursday, or the conference proceedings.
